Do I need an account?
No. Everything in the app works without an account, and there's no sign-in.
Why is an aircraft missing, or in the wrong place?
Aircraft positions come from volunteer receivers that pick up the signals planes broadcast. Where there are few receivers, over oceans and remote areas, planes can drop out or be shown with a delay. Some owners ask for their aircraft not to be shown, and we respect that. Military aircraft are shown too; you can hide them in the flights filter.
How current is the data?
Each layer says when it was last updated. Aircraft update every few seconds; earthquakes, fires, storms, clouds and rain every few minutes to hours, depending on the source. All of it can be delayed or incomplete: never use Almighty for navigation, flight planning or safety decisions, and follow official warnings in an emergency.
The sky view doesn't line up with the real sky
Open the compass button in the sky view. If it says the compass needs calibrating, move your phone slowly in a figure-of-8 a few times, away from metal, magnets and electronics (magnetic phone cases often cause this). For an exact match, point at a bright star, planet or the Moon and tap "Line up with a star".
Why does the app ask for my location, camera or microphone?
Only when you use a feature that needs it. Location shows the sky above you, the camera shows the sky over your camera picture, and the microphone is used only while the microphone button is listening. Your camera picture stays on your phone. Your location is used on your phone, except an approximate position sent to find aircraft near you, which is not stored. You can change these at any time in the device’s Settings → Almighty.
The globe is slow or my phone gets warm
Turning off layers you are not using helps most, especially flights and satellites together at world view. The app lowers its own detail when frames get slow. Low Power Mode also limits the frame rate.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account and data. This deletes your app ID and everything linked to it (AI question counts and news reports) straight away. Do it before deleting the app: deleting the app only removes what it stored on your phone. Anything left unused is deleted automatically after 12 months. You can also email us.
Where does the data come from?
From public and open data providers, credited in the app under Settings → Data & Credits. Those organisations don't endorse Almighty.
